The youth softball program at Weiner was started in 2002 by Amy
Newberry. We started out as 10 & under in 2002, 2003. In
2004 & 2005 we were 12 & under. Both years were very
successful. The girls had 278 runs scored with 71 runs allowed.
This is a great group of youn ladies. They are coached by Amy
Newberry, Lauree Bartholomew and Jerry Burgess.
The 2006 season started out on a great note. The girls went
undefeated to win their pre-season tournament played in weiner.
They have played 2 regular season games so far and have won both
of them.
We play in the Crowley's Ridge Softball league. The league
consists of Weiner, Harrisburg, trumann, Marked Tree, and Cross
County.
